Die Finnische Kirchgemeinde unterstützt das christliche Leben der Finnen in ihrer Muttersprache. Die Tätigkeiten erfolgen in Zusammenarbeit mit den christlichen Kirchen und Gemeinschaften vor allem in der Schweiz, aber auch im Ausland. Die Finnische Kirchgemeinde kann sich Verbänden anschliessen sowie alle Geschäfte eingehen und Verträge abschliessen, die geeignet sind den Zweck zu fördern oder die direkt oder indirekt damit in Zusammenhang stehen.
