Company Purpose
Le but de la fondation est de récompenser les personnes ou des institutions qui se sont distinguées par des réalisations exceptionnelles dans un domaine quelconque lié directement ou indirectement aux montagnes du monde. La distinction consiste en la médaille du mérite du Roi Albert et en un certificat d'accompagnement. La fondation peut en outre, pour autant que son patrimoine soit constitué à hauteur d'au moins un million de francs suisses, soutenir des institutions ou des personnes individuelles qui se consacrent aux intérêts de la montagne, principalement pour des projets scientifiques, mais aussi pour des mesures de prévention des accidents ou de protection de l'environnement.
