Erhaltung und Schutz des Schlosses Birseck als historisches Baudenkmal, der Ermitage Arlesheim als historischer Landschaftsgarten und der zum Stiftungsgut gehörigen übrigen Gebäude als Objekte des Denkmalschutzes und des übrigen Geländes und der Wälder als Objekte des besonderen Natur- und Landschaftsschutzes und als schutzwürdige Umgebung der Ermitage und des Schlosses Birseck.
